by jyoung | June 17, 2010 11:22:07 AMWhen we posted our video of NL Architect's Pearl River Necklace, we wanted to show our reader's CityScape's ability to quickly model urban environments and simulate traffic on it. The renders that NL Architect created for their design were brilliant. But using CityScape brought the bridge to life. You can watch traffic starting in the right lane and ending in the left lane after crossing the bridge. We were pleasantly surprised when we heard that FastCompany had written a story on the Pearl River Necklace. Traffic on our website and views of the video immediately began to surge. Then things got interesting. Yahoo! picked up the FastCompany story for their front page. This bumped up our traffic and views again. Then YouTube picked up our video as the most popular video in the "Science and Technology" category. Shortly afterward, it was promoted to the most popular video in all categories. We even have a couple of video responses. It's been interesting to get this flood of traffic. There have been a ton of downloads of the demo. After playing with the demo, please send us feedback in our forums. Hearing ideas from new users is always exciting! If this is your first visit to our site, thank you for stopping by and checking out CityScape! -The PixelActive Team |
