GDC 2010 Wrap Up

The Game Developer's Conference was a busy week for us, and it's taken a little while to dig out from all the people we need to follow up with. If you haven't heard back from us yet, please send us a message. There was a steady stream of people who came by and visited the PixelActive booth and discussed how to integrate CityScape into their pipeline. We were also interviewed by Westwood College about getting into the game industry and challenges facing programmers and small companies. We hope that the video will better prepare students for the adventures that come along with a life in the games industry.

Throughout the show, PixelActive was visited by friends and partners. Emergent (developers of Gamebryo Lightsped), Trinigy (developers of Vision Engine), and Umbra (rendering optimization middleware) all stopped by to talk about partnership opportunities. In the picture above, our elated engineer, Joey Hammer, stands for a photo with Jim Tilander (of Sony Santa Monica) and Christer Ericson (author of Real-Time Collision Detection). Our employees have strong ties in the games industry and it's always nice to meet up at trade shows.

It was an exhausting event for PixelActive, but we're going to be back in 2011 and are working hard to integrate the feedback we got from show. Thanks for stopping by!
