Collaborative Multi-User Support

Client-Server Model - CityScape utilizes a client-server model providing a reference for merging and managing with easy back-up capabilities and a familiar paradigm for users.

Client-Server Model diagram for CityScape.

Build Together - Co-located or distributed teams can collaborate together to modify the same environment concurrently.

Check-in/out Mechanism - Users "check out" regions to work on independently. The server monitors the scene and updates regions as they are checked-in.

Team Transparency - See who's working on the different regions in a scene. Reduce overlap and ensure efficient development.

Two users have regions checked out in the same world.

CityScape allows multiple users to work simultaneously by checking out distinct regions of the same world.
This is visualized by the colored boxes in the editor as shown above.

Work Offline - Once a region is a checked-out, world builders can work independently anywhere and check-in regions as they complete them.
